That's not what Giuliano Bugiardini looked like! That's a portrait of someone else entirely. There are no portraits of Bugiardini. Like most Renaissance artists, he probably wasn't rich or famous enough to have a portrait made and of course, cameras didn't exist 500 years ago.

So who is this? A rare portrait of an artist! This is Sodoma, and his friend Raphael put him into a painting about ancient Greece. Raphael also put Leonardo and Michelangelo, and himself into that painting-one of the few ways that we have an idea what those great artists looked like!
