Glorify God: A saint of your choice

Bishop

Jester Donatello's David For over a thousand years, the only sculptures were reliefs, carved into a flat panel or wall of stone. Donatello's David was the first "in the round" sculpture since antiquity. It was a smash success and soon other artists learned how to carve freestanding figures. Along with linear perspective, it was an early step on the way to virtual reality!

Nothing is more impressive or inspiring than a sculpture in the round—perhaps my favorite innovation of these modern days. Such a sculpture will ensure that God (and the people of Florence) recognize your devotion to higher things than mere money. Now, who shall create this masterpiece of yours?
